Kaya Kama Hammam & Day Spa

My sister and I booked the Hammam Gommage with the hot oil head massage and the body cream application (which came with a mini massage service). From the moment we arrived, Rimpy and Maninder, made us feel completely at ease. They were kind, professional, and very respectful of our comfort, especially when it came to our request to keep our private areas covered, as we chose to wear our own undergarments. Everything was done with such care and intention. The hot oil head massage and body cream application were definite highlights as their massage technique was incredibly relaxing and left us feeling refreshed and pampered. At times the transition and wait period for the attendants to come back would be a bit long but overall, the treatment, the vibe, and the ambience were all on point!

I chose to do the spoil her package with Reshma, the experience was great. The steam room and full body scrub was very good and the head massage and facial were a great end to the afternoon. It was a nice little break in the afternoon that made everything feel refreshing.

My good friend booked an appointment here for me as a birthday treat. Reshma did a wonderful job on my facial — I felt so relaxed! I also appreciated how she explained each step and what she was applying to my face. I’ll definitely book with her again in the future. I almost didn’t want to leave!

Hammam: The treatment itself was great however I will likely not be back due to the service providers. I told to undress into robes and I was given small disposable underwear and told to wear that. There was no options for other modesty, I was given nothing to cover my chest and during the treatment your totally revealed minus the underwear. It was not explained to me if it was normal to be topless and thus making me uncomfortable, there was no draping over private parts. There was no conversation on consent and where I am comfortable being touched. No treatment was provided to my chest and so I left confused on why I was revealed for the whole treatment. We were told to get into the steam room for 15-20 minutes. After that time we got out and assumed to lay on the bed. We laid down and waiting for 10+ minutes. Nothing was explained to us so we did not know what was going on or what to do. After this time my partner got up and went to the front to ask the staff. A similar thing happened after the first body treatment, we were rubbed with some kind of mask (that too was never explained to us) and told to sit in the steam room for another 5-10 minutes. After 20 we laid back down on the bed. When the staff came in they laughed and told us we needed to shower it off and wait. One staff member asked halfway through the treatment if we had any allergies... after many products had already been placed on us. The price was also 30$ more than the online price, what we booked. There was a small sign in the lobby stating their prices will be raised but this was not reflected on the website. Overall, very disappointed in the service

Maninder Kaur Lally was exceptional. Even though it was my first time at this location it wasn't my 1st hammam but it was my best hammam experience thus far. My initial impression was a bit odd. As I just let myself in went in to a room and awkwardly waited hoping someone would come lol. There were some signs, but I still felt uneasy with it being my first time at this location. The hammam gommage was great! I love how close to a traditional experience it is. And though the facility could use some updates/repairs I absolutely appreciated the authentic feel and ambience. Everything was set up well considering the space and lack of facility management. Asma was good as well. My 1st professional gua sha facial and hot oil head massage and I feel wonderful after. My least favorite part is throughout the experience I felt cold too many times. In the steam room my feet and pretty much anything below the seat were cold. (thankfully the steam machine was exceptional and produced well in other areas). There were a number of times I was waiting cold, the journey to my massage was cold and the massage room itself was cold. The bathrobes are a nice touch but too thin to help. I understand the difficulties of room control especially in a pace like this but there are ways to make the transition easier. I would also say the welcome and Farwell portion of this experience could use some improvements. There are many details preventing this spa from getting 5 stars. Those details are the difference between good/ok and exceptional/luxury. I will definitely return for another hammam experience.
