Mobile Massage & Lymphatic Centre

I am presently Karthikeyan's client and I am fortunate to have him come to my home to administer my manual lymphatic drainage treatment. He always greets me with a smile and asks how I have been feeling. Then he sets up a calm nurturing environment with his soft background music. I have had lymphedema in my left leg for many years and have received treatment for it. Because I presently have severe osteoarthritis in my right hip and knee I have a lot of pain and my mobility is hindered. To try to relieve pain and reduce inflammation I had cortisone injections in both my hip and knee. This was a mistake. I had a severe reaction which caused me more pain in both my hip and knee and I now have lymphedema in my right leg also. At this time I was unaware that I was at risk taking the cortisone injections because I had lymphedema. On Karthikeyan's first visit he immediately noticed that I was at a high pain level and started to treat me for that as well as performing his manual massage. I felt better after he left. I could now control some of my pain level with Tylenol Arthritis and Voltaren gel. Karthikeyan has good communication skills and is very knowledgeable about Lymphedema. He used his expertise and experience to assess my specific condition immediately and create a personalized treatment plan. He emphasized the importance of compression and I have started to use a lower leg wrap. He has also suggested skin care that would reduce and hardening of my skin and the use of exercise to help with the lymphatic drainage. Karthikeyan informed me about the Alberta Lymphedema Organization which has been formed to educate clients in the management of their health. I have already contacted them and they have replied with various suggestions to help me cope with my condition. I wish that I had known about this organization sooner. This organization also provides information for health care workers and medical staff. I give Karthikeyan five stars for his excellent bedside manner. He is a therapist who cares about making people feel better and has the training and ability to do so. He is constantly upgrading his knowledge about lymphedema and I am grateful that he will be able to influence many people in the medical field about lymphedema and its impact upon people if proper treatment choices are not made. He has given me hope for the future by restoring my comfort, mobility and confidence. Dianne B

PDK is a professional lymphatic drainage specialist. I walked into my appointment in a very uncomfortable state and walked out of my one hour appointment feeling very good. He also gave me some helpful tips to ensure that I am taking good care of myself. I am not from the area and was amazed by his knowledge and patient care. If you can make an appointment with PDK; you WILL have the best care possible and fortunate to have him attend to you. I can’t say thank you enough for his help to effectively ease my pain.

There are many massage therapist who claim they can do lymphatic drainage massage and are not certified lymphedema therapist. I have been so unfortunate to have this horrible illness and I am so debilitated that I can not travel to a clinic for therapy can not commit to appointments based on how my body is doing for the day. I am so forever blessed to have this therapist come to my home. I am female and I feel safe I feel respected I feel cared for. I love how he truly takes the time to not only know your medical needs but who you are as a person. He always responds in a timely manner. He also travels so far out of his range because he is sympathetic to my situation. I have tried lymphatic massage before my situation spred to my whole body and was fooled because so many therapist claim they have this training. I trust if you are in my situation you can not go wrong with his training care and ability to help ease your suffering. May God he with us all who have this horrible illness

I had several lymphatic massage after a major surgery. It made such a difference in my healing, fluid retention and swelling!! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and explained each step of the process. I felt much more comfortable right away after each message. I truly appreciated the care and gentle approach.
